Principal's
Message
Launching this Website is a dream come true, connecting St.
Mary's with the rest of the world. It is the result of the patient
and persevering work of Mr. Rajiv Bajracharya and Sr. Febronia,
with the initiative and supportive guidance of Mr. Rupak Pradhan.
It is an achievement that all of us are proud of and I am indebted
to all three of them.
This website comes into operation at the dawn of our Golden
Jubilee Celebrations. This year, 2005 St. Mary's School completes
50 years of dedicated service to the people of Nepal in the
field of Education. Fifty years of commitment to "Education
of Girls", walking on the ideals of a great pioneering
woman 'Mary Ward' of the 16th century, whom the authorities
called 'an incomparable Woman' because of her foresight, a woman
who saw the future and was convinced that ' Women in time to
come will do great things".
Standing the tests of time St. Mary's has emerged as the best
educational institution for girls, has earned the respect and
honour not only in our country Nepal, but even on an international
level. Many sisters from Germany and India & many enthusiastic
teachers have spent the prime of their life, wholly or partially
in this institution, and has given it 'the golden history'.
The students, past and present, their parents all have contributed
their share in establishing and maintaining the best learning
environment, and giving its products a quality that exclusively
belongs to the Marians.
I am sure every Marian is looking forward to be part of the
Jubilee celebrations, and it will be our Pride to welcome all
of you Marians to the premises for the main events of the Jubilee.
It has been our endeavour to aim at "For Knowledge and
Virtue” that is, Academic Excellence and refinement of
oneself for service-forming them to be loving home makers, great
leaders and wonderful human beings, vibrant and fearless who
will make a positive difference in the society.
We acknowledge with deep gratitude the constant support and
patronage of the Royal family, His Majesty's Government, The
Education Ministry in particular & the co-operation and
good will of all the people of our country Nepal.
Jubilee is a time of rejoicing and thanksgiving, a time to recount
the innumerable blessings of the Almighty God on this Institution
and on every individual who has been a part of it. May our school
continue its progress breaking new grounds, stretching beyond
the horizon to reach the unreachable star. May this sacred temple
of knowledge continue to be a beacon light, a credible witness
to the great values it has perpetuated for decades – Freedom,
Justice and Compassionate Love. Sr.
